Hard working mates from North Geelong share $6 Million Powerball prize
A workplace syndicate of six hard-working mates from North Geelong are celebrating each becoming millionaires today after their shared entry in last night’s Powerball draw scored the entire division one prize pool as well as other divisional prizes totalling $6,188,298.40!
The workplace syndicate leader explained that the group of six mates have a regular weekly shared Powerball entry and after scooping the $6 million jackpot in last night’s draw there were six newly minted millionaires in North Geelong.
“I looked up the results online last night and it was unbelievable. I was shaking! You just don’t believe!” the shocked syndicate leader exclaimed.
“It’s a ticket I share with six blokes from work so it means a lot to all of us.
“I rang everyone last night to tell them we’d won. A few of the blokes didn’t believe me so I sent them copies of the ticket and we all looked over the ticket religiously.
“A few of them were hysterical and one of them hit the deck! I don’t think any of us have slept.
“We use the same set of numbers that we hand-selected every week and decided as a group to guarantee we’d always get the Powerball number by playing PowerHits in each of our 4-games and it’s certainly paid off!
“When we told our boss this morning he was very happy for us and much to his relief he’s pleased that we’ll all keep working.
“This win means something different to all of us. Some blokes rent and this will mean they can buy their own home, have money to spend, some will be able to live debt free and I’ll be paying out my mortgage.
“We haven’t celebrated yet but I think tonight we’ll go out to dinner to and all have a few beers!”
North Geelong’s newest millionaires, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their division one winning 4-game PowerHit marked entry at Vic Market Lotto, Lot 4 Queen Street, Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne.
Dora Vuong and Ricky Lau are the owners of Vic Market Lotto and were excitedly spreading the news to their customers that their outlet had sold a division one winning ticket to a private syndicate of hard-working mates.
“It’s fantastic to have sold a division one winning entry, particularly because one ticket has created six new millionaires!” Ms Vuong exclaimed.
“Since becoming the owners of the outlet one year ago, this is our very first division one winning entry so we’re extremely happy.
“We hope this is just the beginning of division one winning streak for us and that we can help to make even more of our customers millionaires soon – perhaps even in tomorrow night’s $4 million TattsLotto draw.”
Throughout Australia, it was the only entry that won first division in Powerball draw 1069 on Thursday 10 November.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1069 were 26, 23, 7, 19, 37 and 30, and the all-important Powerball number was 5.
Players can guarantee getting the Powerball number by playing a PowerHit entry type. And, like a System entry, a PowerHit gives you more chances to win multiple prize divisions. So with a PowerHit, to win division one, you only need to match the first six winning numbers!
Powerball will offer a $3 million division one prize in Thursday’s draw.
Last night’s Powerball winner take the Lott’s division one winning tally to 167 so far this financial year, including 60 won by Tatts customers.
