BoysTown Lotteries

Queensland is probably the home of Prize Homes Lotteries in Australia, as many of the prevalently known lotteries giving away luxury homes are found in Queensland. One of these lottery is the BoysTown Lifestyle Luxuries. The prizes from participating in the Boystown's lotteries, is a chance to win a luxury home or a car, depending on the lottery game entered. With this winning chance also comes the opportunity of helping children who have no other means of support.

The BoysTown was founded by the De La Salle Brothers in 1961, as a residential school for boys in the Queensland state. Through the years, the school had gone many alterations and as of today it is an institution that is dedicated to servicing young boys, girls and families all over Australia.

To be exact, the first lottery ever held by BoysTown Art Union was held on May 20,1961, a car was the first ever prize. The cause of the lottery was to fund the then just opened Beaudesert boys' care residential facility. For more than 45 years BoysTown has now become one of the art unions with the noble aims of helping the Australian society's disadvantaged.

1984 was the year when the first house lottery was held by BoysTown. Tickets were sold at 5 dollars each. Then lucky winner had two options to choose from, a luxury house in Gold Coast or an apartment in the beach front. Either one of the alternatives cost $217,690. At present BoysTown holds 10 luxury prize homes lotteries annually (house is worth $1 million and located in the prime areas of Sunshine and Gold Coasts, Melbourne and Sydney). Each year the BoysTown also organizes 5 grand car lotteries and gives away either Alfa, Jaguar, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes or BMW.

Lottery games is just one of the many ways that BoysTown gather funds for its charitable projects. Individuals who want to help the needy may also send in cash donations, will bequests, sponsorship by and from corporations and others. However, it is the lottery that seems to majority of people more preferable than the rest especially if the player too is not that financially able yet also wants to extend even the littlest of help.
