10 lucky entries shared the division 1 prize pool of just over $4.1 Million in Saturday’s Gold Lotto, draw number 3851 on 16th June 2018.
The winning lotto numbers from Saturday’s draw were 26, 8, 22, 45, 2 and 12, with the supplementary numbers 1 and 38.
Each of the winning tickets will receive $417,040.52.
One of the lucky winners was a man from Casino who uses mathematics to work out his lotto numbers. The win on Saturday was his seventh lottery win, and while his other winnings were smaller, he has now won a total of $421,753.52 using his formula.
“I do a little bit of mathematics and I use a mathematical formula to choose my numbers,” he told a NSW Lotteries official.
“I heard on the radio years ago that some numbers come out more than others, so I have a spreadsheet that helps me even those out.”
“It helps me spread the combination of numbers I choose.”
Others winners from the Saturday Lotto draw included a couple from Mareeba in far North Queensland who have been playing the same lotto numbers for about 20 years, and a man from Pittsworth who described the win as “magical”.
