The official lottery body has revealed the top winning postcodes around the country for the past year, from December 1 2017 to November 30 2018.
In the last year over $1.06 billion in prize money has been won by 439 division one winners.
When it comes down to which state had the most winners, Victoria topped the list with 130 division one winning entries. Meanwhile Queensland took out the top spot for the largest individual win when a man from Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast won the entire $60 million Powerball draw number 1173 on Thursday 8th November.
The largest jackpot of the year was the record $100 million Powerball, draw number 1161 on Thursday 16th August, saw a man from Melbourne and a from Sydney split the massive division one prize pool.
The lottery authorities are also able to show what postcodes sold the most winning tickets around the country.
Victoria
The postcode of 3072 for Preston in Victoria saw four division one winning tickets sold, for a total of $5,209,294.46 in prizes.
New South Wales and ACT
In NSW/ACT there were three equally popular postcodes each selling three division one winning tickets; 2026 (Bondi/North Bondi) won a total of $3,774,118.31, 2340 (Tamworth) won a total of $3,334,491.60 in prize money and 2166 (Cabramatta/Canley Heights) won a total of $2,317,516.06
Queensland
In addition to the largest individual winner, the Queensland postcode of 4215 for Southport/Labrador in the Gold Coast sold four division one winning tickets for a total of $2,984,776.51.
Tasmania
In Tasmania there was a three-way draw for the most popular postcodes with each selling two division one winning tickets; 7250 (Launceston) won a total of $2,990,953.99, 7011 (Claremont) won a total of $2,414,781.73 in prize money and 7000 (Hobart/North Hobart) won a total of $1,95,926.33.
South Australia
In SA the Adelaide CBD postcode of 5000 saw the most division one winners in the state, with four tickets sold for a total of $3,807,167.39 in prize money.
Northern Territory
The Northern Territory saw Katherine with the postcode 0850 have the largest division one winner taking home $2,013,144.80.
